uhh ya hello!

Life has been busy but ooo so good. Warm sand and Hawaiian sunsets good. Happy Cubs fans and thunderstorms in the city good.  American Dream good.

We had a stellar time in Hawaii.

We bought a house.
In Waterville.
its true.
The home had been foreclosed on, repossessed and then handed over to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. It was a little worse for wear but we couldn't beat the location. Next door to Ma and Pa Barnes. We love it!

We have since torn it down to the 2x4s and are anxiously awaiting the rebuilding process. More on that later. I promise.

Jason's national conference was in Chicago this year. It felt unbelievably good to be back in the city. We spent the first few days biking the lakefront and revisiting some of our favorite places. Jason headed to his conference later in the week and I filled my time wandering and shopping the crazy busy awesome chaotic streets.

Kerry so generously offered us her home and the trip would not have been nearly as enjoyable had we not accepted. Good friends make all the difference. Her rooftop was a popular place for dinner. You may recognize it from Jason's graduation party

It was tough to leave. But as always, its good to be home.

Wow! I can't believe you posted!!! I've been checking every day for months. Months (resisting the urge to nag). Months (every time I talked to you I wanted to tell you to POST)! But, I know I don't have a blog at all, so no business nagging. So I humbly waited - and here it is! I love the Buckingham fountain pic - visual pun - Buckngham at Buckingham. You guys look great, and I see you cropped legs in Hawaii, so I didn't see any awkwardsauce at all.
Love you!

Fine....since Beth is the smart sister I guess I can put forth a little more effort to figure out how to comment on this new design. Guess text comments don't do the trick. Fun to see pictures of everything that I have heard about. Can't wait for an awesome weekend at Lake Roosevelt! Now that will definately be blog worthy. Looking forward to another roomate reunion. -Hooles

#1 CONGRATS on your house!! That's super exciting. And best part is that you get to make it 'yours'!!! Enjoy! Can't wait to see photos along the way!

#2 I'm jealous that you got to go back & visit Chicago.... we lived about 2 hours from it, and just passed through to the airport a number of time. A must see someday in the future!

Thanks for blogging, I love having something to ready =) xx
